Quick ways to delete your data

Option A — Self‑service in Ezra (recommended)

1. Sign in to Ezra.
2. Go to Settings → Connected Accounts.
3. Click the menu (…) for your Instagram account → “Remove account”.
4. Confirm. We immediately purge all Instagram data we store for that account (see “What we delete” below).

After removal, we cannot ingest any new data for that account unless you reconnect via OAuth.

Option B — Revoke in Instagram (your Accounts Center)

In addition to removing the account inside Ezra, you can revoke Ezra’s access directly in Instagram:

• Open Instagram → Settings → Accounts Center → Apps and websites → Active → “Ezra‑IG” → Remove — or go to: https://instagram.com/accounts/manage_access/

This step is optional for deletion in Ezra, but revoking access ensures Instagram stops listing the app in your “Active” apps.

What we delete

When you remove an Instagram account in Ezra or request deletion, we permanently delete:

• Instagram connection (“integration”) metadata (account linkage and any stored tokens).
• Instagram profile data we hold (id, username, follower counts we stored for your kit/report display).
• Media metadata (media_id, caption, media type, timestamps, UC media URLs, permalinks).
• Insights/metrics for posts (likes, comments, saves, shares, views/plays, reach, watch time where applicable).
• Any cached/derived analytics used in Media Kits and Campaign Reports.

We do not sell or share this data. Deletion is scoped to the Instagram account and the Ezra user who owns it.

Timing and confirmations

• Deletion is initiated immediately when you remove the account in Ezra.
• Most UI clears instantly; background caches are cleared within 24 hours.
• Backups rotate on a standard retention cycle (up to 30 days) and are not used to reconstitute deleted user data.
• If you request deletion via email, we will confirm by email once completed.

Please include:

• Your Ezra account email
• Your Instagram @username (or Instagram user ID if known)
• A statement authorizing us to delete the data for that Instagram account

We may request additional verification to protect account security.

Using Facebook/Instagram’s “Data Deletion” flow

If you trigger deletion from within Instagram/Facebook (their “Data Deletion” flow), Instagram will call our deletion endpoint automatically. We respond with a confirmation/status URL and complete the same purge described above.
